Whitebeard Must Die!
Arr Everyone!
Sorry about the lack of updates. Things got kind of busy in both my personal and professional lives, and so I haven’t had a lot of time to post to this blog. Hopefully, things will cool down in the future.
But, I had to post about last night’s Pirates game “Whitebeard is Coming to Town!” The Privateer played Whitebeard (aka Santa), along with 2 Viking Longboat “reindeer”. Her goal was to touch each of the Wild Islands, and leave a number of gold coins on each. The players goal was to grab as much gold as possible.
Personally, I decided that Whitebeard Must Die! and planned my fleet accordingly. Here’s what I cam up with:
Behemoth: Sea Monster. Limit. At the beginning of each of your turns, choose and ability possessed by any ship or crew in play; this ship has that ability. You may may a different choice each turn.
USS Kettering: Longship. Once per turn, one ship of crew within S of this ship cannot use it’s ability this turn.
Captain: Free Shoot action after a Move action.
Helmsman: +S to Base Move
Pretty simple, right? Well, the Sleigh has the ability of “This ship’s base move becomes 6L(!) when she has no available cargo capacity.” So, I copied it with the Behemoth, moved into position, and when the Sleigh came nearby, I rammed, boarded it and killed Whitebeard! Arrr!

I am gonna buy Behemoth off a tradeing website! I am really anxious for him.
